Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Ravens cashed the board's mistake on Moore: B-.

Somebody in the 183rd pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Ravens sat still while Malachi Moore, the No. 141 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

They are betting Muhammad proves the room right and everyone else wrong. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Pick Analysis
Pick39 Rnd2 Aireontae Ersery
A straight-up fair deal on Aireontae Ersery at the 39th overall pick, value and slot in agreement. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick41 Rnd2 Trey Amos
Trey Amos in pick 41 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick91 Rnd3 Andrew Mukuba
Andrew Mukuba slid further than he should have, and Round 3, Pick 27 is lovely value for the safety. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick129 Rnd4 Jordan Phillips
The board fumbled Jordan Phillips all the way to the Round 4 slot, and they scooped it up. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick136 Rnd4 Aeneas Peebles
They went early on Aeneas Peebles in slot 136, and the value did not follow. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick148 Rnd5 Nick Nash
Nick Nash in the 148th pick is fair value, right on his grade. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick176 Rnd5 Willie Lampkin
Willie Lampkin at No. 176 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick183 Rnd6 Malachi Moore
Malachi Moore in pick No. 183 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick203 Rnd6 Tyler Batty
Tyler Batty at slot 203 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick210 Rnd6 Jay Higgins
Jay Higgins in the Round 6 slot lands just on the right side of the ledger. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick212 Rnd6 Jabbar Muhammad
A real head-scratcher, Jabbar Muhammad in pick 212 is miles ahead of his ranking. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick243 Rnd7 Cody Lindenberg
A wild overpay on Cody Lindenberg in the 243rd overall pick, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
