Draft Grade — Titans

The Titans cashed the board's mistake on Judkins: B.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Quinshon Judkins tumbling to the Titans in the Round 4 slot is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

Diggs has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. They left with offensive lineman solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick1 Rnd1 Abdul Carter
In pick No. 1 they get a quarterback's worst nightmare. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick35 Rnd2 Colston Loveland
The board had Colston Loveland higher than the 35th pick, and the tight end fell to them anyway. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick103 Rnd4 Danny Stutsman
They let Danny Stutsman come to them and pounced at No. 103. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick120 Rnd4 Quinshon Judkins
Quinshon Judkins at pick 120 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick141 Rnd5 Seth McLaughlin
A big swing on Seth McLaughlin at Round 5, Pick 3, well ahead of any board in the building. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick167 Rnd5 Kurtis Rourke
You do not let a quarterback like Kurtis Rourke reach slot 167 and blink. They did not. It fills a real need, too.
Pick178 Rnd6 Clay Webb
A reach for Clay Webb in the 178th overall pick; a little patience would have been rewarded. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick188 Rnd6 Fadil Diggs
Fadil Diggs at the Round 6 slot is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
