veeps DRAFTING FOR THERavens
Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall
B-
ValueC+
NeedB+
TradesB-
FutureB-
The Ravens checked most of the boxes and earned a B-. There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Ravens started one anyway for Derrick Moore, 40 picks ahead of schedule.
Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The roster is better shaped than it was, with interior defensive lineman chief among the fixes.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick Analysis
Pick14
Rnd1
Carnell Tate
In No. 14 they get a No. 1 receiver. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick45
Rnd2
A'Mauri Washington
They paid a round early for A'Mauri Washington in Round 2, Pick 13, more than the board wanted. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick80
Rnd3
Cayden Green
Cayden Green at the Round 3 slot is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick115
Rnd4
Derrick Moore
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Derrick Moore well ahead of where he belonged. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
