Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
No fireworks, just a tidy B- for the Ravens.

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Ravens reached some 53 spots for Oluwafemi Oladejo, and value like that does not grow back.

Phillips falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick Analysis
Pick27 Rnd1 Malaki Starks
In pick No. 27 they get a rangy last line of defense. More want than need.
Pick59 Rnd2 Darien Porter
Darien Porter in Round 2, Pick 27 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick91 Rnd3 Oluwafemi Oladejo
They reached a country mile for Oluwafemi Oladejo at the 91st pick, and the board is aghast. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick129 Rnd4 Jordan Phillips
Jordan Phillips at the Round 4 slot is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick136 Rnd4 Mitchell Evans
A reach for Mitchell Evans in slot 136; a little patience would have been rewarded. It fills a real need, too.
Pick176 Rnd5 Jalen Rivers
Jalen Rivers at No. 176 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick183 Rnd6 Dont'e Thornton Jr.
They took Dont'e Thornton Jr. at par in No. 183, which is nothing to complain about. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick203 Rnd6 CJ West
Quietly one of the better values of the day, CJ West at pick No. 203. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick210 Rnd6 Tahj Brooks
The board had Tahj Brooks higher than the 210th pick, and the running back fell to them anyway. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick212 Rnd6 Jamon Dumas-Johnson
Value said wait; Jamon Dumas-Johnson in pick 212 says they were not listening. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick243 Rnd7 Jalen Travis
This one needs a full-page explanation: Jalen Travis in the Round 7 slot, miles early. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
