Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall B
ValueB NeedA- TradesB- FutureB-
A sensible, unshowy class lands the Ravens a B.

There is real value in patience, and the Ravens banked it when Luke McCaffrey slid to the Round 5 slot. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Job largely done: cornerback settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Terrion Arnold
In pick No. 30 they get an island corner, and a steal at that. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick62 Rnd2 Kiran Amegadjie
No edge and no loss on Kiran Amegadjie in the 62nd overall pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick93 Rnd3 Brenden Rice
They paid sticker price for Brenden Rice in slot 93, and that is fine. It fills a real need, too.
Pick113 Rnd4 Matt Goncalves
No drama and no debate, Matt Goncalves went about where he belonged in the Round 4 slot. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick130 Rnd4 Jarrian Jones
A straight-up fair deal on Jarrian Jones at pick 130, value and slot in agreement. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick165 Rnd5 Luke McCaffrey
Luke McCaffrey at No. 165 is money in the bank, a wide receiver taken below his worth. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick218 Rnd6 Logan Lee
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Logan Lee at pick No. 218 is the proof. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick228 Rnd7 Frank Gore Jr.
By-the-book stuff, Frank Gore Jr. at the Round 7 slot squarely in line with his ranking. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick250 Rnd7 LaDarius Henderson
LaDarius Henderson at No. 250 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
