Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall
B-
ValueB-

FutureB-
The Ravens checked most of the boxes and earned a B-. Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Ravens spent the Round 4 slot on Justin Eboigbe, a name the board had a full 35 spots lower. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.
The McCaffrey pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.
Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick Analysis
Pick30
Rnd1
Brian Thomas Jr.
In the 30th overall pick they get a No. 1 receiver at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick62
Rnd2
Kingsley Suamataia
A tidy little value on Kingsley Suamataia in pick No. 62, a step better than break-even. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick93
Rnd3
Khyree Jackson
By-the-book stuff, Khyree Jackson at No. 93 squarely in line with his ranking. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick113
Rnd4
Justin Eboigbe
A big swing on Justin Eboigbe at the 113th pick, well ahead of any board in the building. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick130
Rnd4
Chau Smith-Wade
Chau Smith-Wade in Round 4, Pick 30 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick165
Rnd5
Luke McCaffrey
They read the board right and Luke McCaffrey was the payoff at the Round 5 slot. The roster fit checks out.
Pick218
Rnd6
Frank Gore Jr.
A reach on Frank Gore Jr. in pick 218; the board had better options right there. It fills a real need, too.
Pick228
Rnd7
LaDarius Henderson
LaDarius Henderson at the Round 7 slot is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick250
Rnd7
Josh Proctor
Good price on Josh Proctor in Round 7, Pick 30, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. A minor need, but a need all the same.
