Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
Nothing loud, just a tidy B for the Ravens.

You could see the war room lean forward. Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint at pick 218 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.

Henderson has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. A whole weekend of picks and running back is somehow still a want.

Job largely done: cornerback settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Quinyon Mitchell
In slot 30 they get a potential shutdown corner, outstanding value to boot. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick62 Rnd2 Kingsley Suamataia
A straight-up fair deal on Kingsley Suamataia at No. 62, value and slot in agreement. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick93 Rnd3 Javon Baker
They paid sticker price for Javon Baker in pick No. 93, and that is fine. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick113 Rnd4 Tyler Davis
By-the-book stuff, Tyler Davis at No. 113 squarely in line with his ranking. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick130 Rnd4 Jarrian Jones
No edge and no loss on Jarrian Jones in pick 130; it is a wash and a sensible one. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick165 Rnd5 Braiden McGregor
Braiden McGregor in the 165th pick is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick218 Rnd6 Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint
They robbed the room for Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick228 Rnd7 LaDarius Henderson
LaDarius Henderson at the 228th overall pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick250 Rnd7 Trey Taylor
They paid a round early for Trey Taylor in Round 7, Pick 30, more than the board wanted. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
