Draft Grade — Ravens

FutureB-
The Ravens checked most of the boxes and earned a B. There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Ravens started one anyway for Trajan Jeffcoat, 58 picks ahead of schedule. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.
Getting Smith-Wade where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick30
Rnd1
Brian Thomas Jr.
In the Round 1 slot they get a difference-maker at receiver. A real need, handled.
Pick62
Rnd2
Jordan Morgan
Jordan Morgan in Round 2, Pick 30 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick93
Rnd3
Khyree Jackson
Khyree Jackson at pick No. 93 is money in the bank, a cornerback taken below his worth. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick113
Rnd4
Tyler Davis
They paid up for Tyler Davis at pick 113 when waiting would have done the job. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick130
Rnd4
Trevor Keegan
Trevor Keegan at the 130th overall pick is a conviction pick that outran the value. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick165
Rnd5
Chau Smith-Wade
A top-tier cornerback at a bargain, Chau Smith-Wade in slot 165, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick218
Rnd6
Trente Jones
Somehow Trente Jones was still sitting there in the 218th overall pick, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick228
Rnd7
Tyler Owens
Tyler Owens in No. 228 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick250
Rnd7
Trajan Jeffcoat
They left a pile of value on the table to take Trajan Jeffcoat this early at pick 250. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
