Draft Grade — Chiefs
Overall

FutureB-
The Chiefs robbed the room for TeSlaa. Final grade: B-. The board owed the Chiefs one, and it paid up: Isaac TeSlaa, the No. 233 name on the board, sitting there at the 257th overall pick like a gift left on the doorstep. No fireworks, but a solid B-.
That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They are betting Evans proves the room right and everyone else wrong.
They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
Pick Analysis
Pick31
Rnd1
Derrick Harmon
In the Round 1 slot they get a pocket-collapsing interior rusher. A real need, handled.
Pick63
Rnd2
Jayden Higgins
A clean, defensible pick in the 63rd pick with a little surplus value in Jayden Higgins. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick66
Rnd3
Azareye'h Thomas
A tidy bit of business in slot 66, where Azareye'h Thomas graded well above the range. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick95
Rnd3
Dylan Fairchild
Dylan Fairchild at Round 3, Pick 31 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick133
Rnd4
Mitchell Evans
The board had cheaper options than Mitchell Evans at the 133rd overall pick, and it noticed. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick226
Rnd7
Kyle Monangai
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Kyle Monangai at pick 226 is the proof. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick251
Rnd7
Bilhal Kone
They robbed the room for Bilhal Kone here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
Pick257
Rnd7
Isaac TeSlaa
Isaac TeSlaa in No. 257 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
