Draft Grade — Broncos
Overall B

More right than wrong for the Broncos, and a B to prove it.

If confidence were a draft strategy, the Broncos would have aced it. Logan Parr at No. 199 is 52 spots clear of where he belonged. No fireworks, but a solid B.

The Schwesinger value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.

They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for. The skill positions did well by the weekend.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick Analysis
Pick20 Rnd1 Matthew Golden
In the 20th overall pick they get a go-to option on the outside, outstanding value to boot.
Pick51 Rnd2 Marcus Mbow
No drama and no debate, Marcus Mbow went about where he belonged in Round 2, Pick 19. It fills a real need, too.
Pick85 Rnd3 Mason Taylor
Mason Taylor at slot 85 nudges the ledger their way without any fuss. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick121 Rnd4 Carson Schwesinger
A top-tier linebacker at a bargain, Carson Schwesinger in the Round 4 slot, plain and simple. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick193 Rnd6 Ollie Gordon II
They barely believed it either: Ollie Gordon II still on the board at pick 193. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick199 Rnd6 Logan Parr
They reached a country mile for Logan Parr at the 199th pick, and the board is aghast. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick210 Rnd6 CJ West
No edge and no loss on CJ West in No. 210; it is a wash and a sensible one. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
