Draft Grade — Ravens

The Ravens cashed the board's mistake on Lee III: B-. The Ravens spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Will Lee III, the No. 59 name on the board, in pick 80. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with cornerback the one that mattered most. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.
Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
Pick Analysis
Pick14
Rnd1
Arvell Reese
In No. 14 they get a sideline-to-sideline linebacker. Need was not the driver here.
Pick45
Rnd2
Caleb Banks
Somehow Caleb Banks was still sitting there in Round 2, Pick 13, and they pounced on premier edge rusher value. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick80
Rnd3
Will Lee III
Steal is underselling it; Will Lee III at pick 80 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick115
Rnd4
Charles Jagusah
By-the-book stuff, Charles Jagusah at the 115th overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick153
Rnd5
Kage Casey
Kage Casey at the 153rd pick is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick161
Rnd5
Aaron Graves
No edge and no loss on Aaron Graves in slot 161; it is a wash and a sensible one. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick173
Rnd5
Aamil Wagner
Value with a capital V on Aamil Wagner in the Round 5 slot, a genuine coup. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick174
Rnd5
Aaron Anderson
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Aaron Anderson in pick No. 174. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick249
Rnd7
Jacobe Johnson
Good price on Jacobe Johnson in Round 7, Pick 33, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick252
Rnd7
Jaylon Braxton
Nothing to complain about; Jaylon Braxton went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A minor itch, scratched.
