mage7 DRAFTING FOR THERavens

Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall

FutureB-
The Ravens checked most of the boxes and earned a B-. There is a lot to like until you notice wide receiver is still a hole. The Ravens never got to the one that mattered most. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.
If Fairchild pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. However the rest shakes out, Watts at that price is a win they earned.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick Analysis
Pick27
Rnd1
Mike Green
In pick No. 27 they get a double-digit-sack hope. A real need, handled.
Pick59
Rnd2
Xavier Watts
The board had Xavier Watts higher than slot 59, and the safety fell to them anyway. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick91
Rnd3
Dylan Fairchild
They paid a round early for Dylan Fairchild in the Round 3 slot, more than the board wanted. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick129
Rnd4
Joshua Farmer
A tidy bit of business in Round 4, Pick 27, where Joshua Farmer graded well above the range. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick136
Rnd4
Jacob Parrish
Value with a capital V on Jacob Parrish in pick 136, a genuine coup. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
