Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B
ValueB NeedB TradesD+ FutureA
Best value of the weekend goes to the Raiders for Stutsman: B.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Raiders were there to profit. Danny Stutsman, the No. 84 name on the board, should have been long gone before slot 212. No fireworks, but a solid B.

Reaching for Cook left real value on the table behind him. A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. A small leak at the table, if not a fatal one.

Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Omarion Hampton
In the 30th pick they get a workhorse for the backfield, and a steal at that. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick37 Rnd2 Tate Ratledge
Tate Ratledge at the Round 2 slot is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick56 Rnd2 Dylan Fairchild
Dylan Fairchild in slot 56 is fair value, right on his grade. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick62 Rnd2 Jalen Royals
By-the-book stuff, Jalen Royals at Round 2, Pick 30 squarely in line with his ranking. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick68 Rnd3 Jayden Higgins
Jayden Higgins in pick 68 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick73 Rnd3 Alfred Collins
Good things come to war rooms that wait, and Alfred Collins at pick No. 73 is the proof. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick106 Rnd4 TreVeyon Henderson
They robbed the room for TreVeyon Henderson here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick142 Rnd5 Barrett Carter
Barrett Carter in No. 142 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick178 Rnd6 Brady Cook
They left a pile of value on the table to take Brady Cook this early at the 178th pick. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick212 Rnd6 Danny Stutsman
They barely believed it either: Danny Stutsman still on the board at the Round 6 slot. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
Pick216 Rnd6 Maxen Hook
Maxen Hook at pick No. 216 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
