FutureB-
The 49ers did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B-. The one they had to fix is still broken. The 49ers left running back untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul.
Whatever else happened, they won the night they took Raridon. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick Analysis
Pick47
Rnd2
Gennings Dunker
A straight-up fair deal on Gennings Dunker at No. 47, value and slot in agreement. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick58
Rnd2
Omar Cooper Jr.
Good price on Omar Cooper Jr. in pick 58, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick78
Rnd3
Michael Taaffe
A slide stopped in Round 3, Pick 14, with Michael Taaffe worth more than the price. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick92
Rnd3
Logan Jones
Logan Jones at the 92nd overall pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the offensive lineman. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick127
Rnd4
Davison Igbinosun
A tidy little value on Davison Igbinosun in the Round 4 slot, a step better than break-even. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick133
Rnd4
Ar'maj Reed-Adams
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Ar'maj Reed-Adams. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick138
Rnd4
Isaiah World
Nothing to complain about; Isaiah World went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick139
Rnd4
Eli Raridon
The board had Eli Raridon higher than the 139th pick, and the tight end fell to them anyway. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick230
Rnd7
Aiden Fisher
They took Aiden Fisher at par in pick 230, which is nothing to complain about. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick249
Rnd7
Eli Heidenreich
Eli Heidenreich at the Round 7 slot is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
