The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The 49ers watched Upton Stout slide 54 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.

Every board in the league had Truss lower, and that gap is the story. The phones were where this weekend was really won. They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
