Draft Grade — Rams
Overall
B-

FutureB-
A respectable, level-headed haul for the Rams: B-. The Rams clearly saw something nobody else did in Ty Hamilton, taking him 38 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.
Leaving safety unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick26
Rnd1
Emeka Egbuka
In slot 26 they get a No. 1 receiver at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick90
Rnd3
Chris Paul Jr.
No edge and no loss on Chris Paul Jr. in Round 3, Pick 26; it is a wash and a sensible one. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick100
Rnd3
Ajani Cornelius
Ajani Cornelius in the 100th pick is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick126
Rnd4
Terrance Ferguson
Terrance Ferguson in No. 126 lands just on the right side of the ledger. The roster fit checks out.
Pick192
Rnd6
Cobee Bryant
Cobee Bryant at the 192nd overall pick is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the cornerback. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick203
Rnd6
Jack Kiser
Jack Kiser at the Round 6 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It is more luxury than necessity; they were already set here.
Pick204
Rnd6
Ty Hamilton
They reached into another round for Ty Hamilton, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
