Draft Grade — Rams

FutureB-
The Rams checked most of the boxes and earned a B-. There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Rams started one anyway for Julian Pearl, 40 picks ahead of schedule. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.
It is not that Hart is a bad player; it is that the Rams had louder needs to answer first. However the rest shakes out, Washington at that price is a win they earned.
The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer. They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick Analysis
Pick33
Rnd2
Darius Robinson
Darius Robinson in Round 2, Pick 1 is fair value, right on his grade. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick52
Rnd2
Edgerrin Cooper
They did well to land Edgerrin Cooper in pick 52, just ahead of his grade. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick61
Rnd2
Kamari Lassiter
Kamari Lassiter at the 61st overall pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick83
Rnd3
Calen Bullock
Calen Bullock at pick No. 83 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick99
Rnd3
Mekhi Wingo
Mekhi Wingo at slot 99 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick101
Rnd4
Cam Hart
A want over a need in No. 101: Cam Hart adds a cornerback while quarterback and tight end keeps waiting.
Pick129
Rnd4
Isaac Guerendo
They paid sticker price for Isaac Guerendo in pick 129, and that is fine. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick142
Rnd5
Marist Liufau
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Marist Liufau. A want more than a need, though you can never have too many.
Pick154
Rnd5
Xavier Thomas
A conviction pick on Xavier Thomas at the 154th pick that the board grades a round light. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick155
Rnd5
Khristian Boyd
Khristian Boyd at pick No. 155 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick164
Rnd5
Julian Pearl
Value said wait; Julian Pearl in No. 164 says they were not listening. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick213
Rnd6
Tahj Washington
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Tahj Washington in slot 213, plain and simple. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick254
Rnd7
Tyler Owens
A straight-up fair deal on Tyler Owens at Round 7, Pick 34, value and slot in agreement. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
