The needs board said one thing and the Rams did another, using the 90th overall pick on D'Angelo Ponds while wide receiver, safety and other spots waited. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

They will regret leaving wide receiver for another day if the season turns on it. The cost of the Payton reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The Love pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.
