Draft Grade — Rams
Overall D+
ValueB NeedB TradesF FutureB-
The Rams lost the trade table, and the D+ tells the story.

You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Rams did exactly that with Ty Hamilton in the Round 6 slot. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D+ is the result.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Reed pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, running back very much included.

Pick Analysis
Pick26 Rnd1 Tyler Warren
In Round 1, Pick 26 they get a seam-stretching tight end at a price that makes it sweeter. A real need, handled.
Pick69 Rnd3 Jayden Higgins
By-the-book stuff, Jayden Higgins at pick No. 69 squarely in line with his ranking. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick90 Rnd3 Donovan Jackson
They did well to land Donovan Jackson in slot 90, just ahead of his grade. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick100 Rnd3 Emery Jones Jr.
Emery Jones Jr. at No. 100 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick126 Rnd4 Jeffrey Bassa
Jeffrey Bassa at the 126th overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick192 Rnd6 Jack Kiser
No edge and no loss on Jack Kiser in pick 192; it is a wash and a sensible one. A want dressed up as a pick, at a spot they had covered.
Pick203 Rnd6 Jaylen Reed
Jaylen Reed in Round 6, Pick 25 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick204 Rnd6 Ty Hamilton
Ty Hamilton in pick 204 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. The roster fit checks out.
