The Rams did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Tahj Washington fell into the 254th pick. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. The James pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with quarterback and tight end still on the board.

They are betting Bills proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
