Draft Grade — Rams
Overall

FutureB-
The Rams did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B-. The Rams clearly saw something nobody else did in Gabe Hall, taking him 59 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped quarterback, which is a strange place to end up. However the rest shakes out, Pearl at that price is a win they earned.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
Pick Analysis
Pick28
Rnd1
Troy Fautanu
In pick 28 they get a cornerstone up front. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick52
Rnd2
Adisa Isaac
A market-rate edge rusher, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Adisa Isaac. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick83
Rnd3
Khyree Jackson
They liked Khyree Jackson enough to skip the value, taking him in slot 83. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick90
Rnd3
Brenden Rice
They took Brenden Rice at par in the Round 3 slot, which is nothing to complain about. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick99
Rnd3
Mekhi Wingo
Mekhi Wingo at pick No. 99 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick144
Rnd5
Tanor Bortolini
They reached into another round for Tanor Bortolini, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick154
Rnd5
Tykee Smith
They paid sticker price for Tykee Smith in pick No. 154, and that is fine. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick155
Rnd5
Dwight McGlothern
Dwight McGlothern at the 155th overall pick is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
Pick162
Rnd5
Ty'Ron Hopper
They reached a country mile for Ty'Ron Hopper at Round 5, Pick 26, and the board is aghast. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick163
Rnd5
Gabe Hall
A real head-scratcher, Gabe Hall in the 163rd pick is miles ahead of his ranking. It fills a real need, too.
Pick169
Rnd5
Grayson Murphy
A straight-up fair deal on Grayson Murphy at No. 169, value and slot in agreement. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick196
Rnd6
Kendall Milton
No drama and no debate, Kendall Milton went about where he belonged in slot 196. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick209
Rnd6
Bub Means
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Bub Means well ahead of where he belonged. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick213
Rnd6
Julian Pearl
A quiet steal in pick 213: Julian Pearl for less than the market said. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick217
Rnd6
Edefuan Ulofoshio
This one needs a full-page explanation: Edefuan Ulofoshio in the 217th overall pick, miles early. Depth on depth, at a spot that was hardly crying out.
Pick254
Rnd7
Darius Muasau
Darius Muasau in the 254th pick is fair value, right on his grade. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
