Draft Grade — Rams
Overall B

The Rams did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B.

The weekend has a hole in the middle of it named safety, a need the Rams walked right past.

However the rest shakes out, Paul Jr. at that price is a win they earned. Reaching for Marshall Jr. left real value on the table behind him. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Pick Analysis
Pick26 Rnd1 Tyler Warren
In pick No. 26 they get a mismatch in the passing game at a price that makes it sweeter. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick90 Rnd3 Chris Paul Jr.
Chris Paul Jr. slid further than he should have, and pick 90 is lovely value for the linebacker. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick101 Rnd3 Savion Williams
They let Savion Williams come to them and pounced at Round 3, Pick 37. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick127 Rnd4 Emery Jones Jr.
Good price on Emery Jones Jr. in the Round 4 slot, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick190 Rnd6 Woody Marks
No drama and no debate, Woody Marks went about where he belonged in No. 190. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick195 Rnd6 Jason Marshall Jr.
A reach for Jason Marshall Jr. in slot 195; a little patience would have been rewarded. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick201 Rnd6 Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson
They took Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson at par in the 201st overall pick, which is nothing to complain about. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick202 Rnd6 Caleb Rogers
Caleb Rogers in the 202nd pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
