The Rams cashed the board's mistake on Restrepo: D-. You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Rams did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high. It grades a D-, and the process earned it.
That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Smith pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with running back still on the board. That Restrepo pick is the receipt they will wave around later.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.
In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
