The Rams kept it disciplined and banked a B-.

It is a puzzling start. The Rams had quarterback and interior defensive lineman to solve and reached instead for Josh Newton, a cornerback, at Round 2, Pick 20. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want. Rosengarten falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

The Hicks reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
