Draft Grade — Rams
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB
A solid, sensible weekend for the Rams: B.

Some picks age like wine; Bear Alexander at No. 208 will need to, sitting 52 spots clear of his grade.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. Getting Brazzell II where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

Wide receiver was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick Analysis
Pick21 Rnd1 Mansoor Delane
In the 21st pick they get a sticky cover corner. Need was not the driver here.
Pick29 Rnd1 Chris Brazzell II
Chris Brazzell II slid further than he should have, and slot 29 is lovely value for the wide receiver. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick55 Rnd2 Dillon Thieneman
By-the-book stuff, Dillon Thieneman at the 55th overall pick squarely in line with his ranking. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick61 Rnd2 Eric Singleton Jr.
They went early on Eric Singleton Jr. in pick No. 61, and the value did not follow. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick86 Rnd3 Sam Leavitt
Nothing to complain about; Sam Leavitt went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick93 Rnd3 Joe Royer
They read the board right and Joe Royer was the payoff at the Round 3 slot. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick121 Rnd4 Blake Miller
They jumped the gun on Blake Miller, taking him earlier than his grade liked. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick169 Rnd5 DJ Campbell
DJ Campbell at pick No. 169 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick196 Rnd6 Le'Veon Moss
A straight-up fair deal on Le'Veon Moss at Round 6, Pick 17, value and slot in agreement. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick208 Rnd6 Bear Alexander
Bear Alexander in the 208th pick is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick234 Rnd7 Trey Zuhn III
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Trey Zuhn III. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick248 Rnd7 Jordan White
A wild overpay on Jordan White in slot 248, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
