The Rams checked most of the boxes and earned a B.

It is the swing that defines the weekend: Jeffrey Bassa in No. 101, a good 23 spots before the room expected him.

That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. However the rest shakes out, Gordon II at that price is a win they earned. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.

Quietly one of the better values of the day, Luther Burden III at the 34th overall pick. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.

A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Cameron Williams. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.

A tidy bit of business in No. 90, where Andrew Mukuba graded well above the range. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.

A real head-scratcher, Jeffrey Bassa in Round 3, Pick 37 is miles ahead of his ranking. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.

Ollie Gordon II slipping to slot 190 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
