Draft Grade — Rams
Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesB FutureB-
The Rams checked most of the boxes and earned a B.

It is the swing that defines the weekend: Jeffrey Bassa in No. 101, a good 23 spots before the room expected him.

That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. However the rest shakes out, Gordon II at that price is a win they earned. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.

Pick Analysis
Pick34 Rnd2 Luther Burden III
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Luther Burden III at the 34th overall pick. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick65 Rnd3 Cameron Williams
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Cameron Williams. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick90 Rnd3 Andrew Mukuba
A tidy bit of business in No. 90, where Andrew Mukuba graded well above the range. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick101 Rnd3 Jeffrey Bassa
A real head-scratcher, Jeffrey Bassa in Round 3, Pick 37 is miles ahead of his ranking. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick190 Rnd6 Ollie Gordon II
Ollie Gordon II slipping to slot 190 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick195 Rnd6 CJ West
CJ West in the Round 6 slot lands just on the right side of the ledger. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick201 Rnd6 Thomas Fidone II
No drama and no debate, Thomas Fidone II went about where he belonged in the Round 6 slot. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick202 Rnd6 Luke Lachey
A reach for Luke Lachey in pick 202; a little patience would have been rewarded. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
