The Rams cashed the board's mistake on Watts: B+.

The Rams ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.

Leaving running back unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Watts at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. They went 7 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

Quantity was the play, for better or worse.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
