Draft Grade — Rams
Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesC+ FutureB
The steal of the weekend belongs to the Rams and Sampson: B.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Dylan Sampson tumbling to the Rams in No. 170 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. If Frazier pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. The roster is better shaped than it was, with wide receiver chief among the fixes.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.

Pick Analysis
Pick16 Rnd1 Will Campbell
In the 16th pick they get a plug-and-play piece up front, though they paid up to get him. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick100 Rnd3 Smael Mondon Jr.
Smael Mondon Jr. in No. 100 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick117 Rnd4 Alfred Collins
They will replay Alfred Collins at pick No. 117 for years; that is how good the value is. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick149 Rnd5 TreVeyon Henderson
TreVeyon Henderson in the 149th overall pick should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick169 Rnd5 Miles Frazier
Miles Frazier in slot 169 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick170 Rnd5 Dylan Sampson
The board fumbled Dylan Sampson all the way to Round 5, Pick 32, and they scooped it up. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick171 Rnd5 Theo Wease Jr.
Theo Wease Jr. in the Round 5 slot is fair value, right on his grade. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick193 Rnd6 Parker Brailsford
They barely believed it either: Parker Brailsford still on the board at pick 193. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick197 Rnd6 Gunnar Helm
Gunnar Helm slipping to slot 197 is the kind of luck good rooms make for themselves. The roster fit checks out.
Pick198 Rnd6 Kevin Winston Jr.
They did well to land Kevin Winston Jr. in pick 198, just ahead of his grade. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
