Draft Grade — Rams
Overall
B-
ValueC+
NeedB+
TradesB-
FutureB-
A passer of the future in Dart, and a B-, for the Rams. They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Jaxson Dart is the Rams' quarterback, full stop.
The Sanders value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. The Ferguson pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. A whole weekend of picks and offensive lineman is somehow still a want.
They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick Analysis
Pick26
Rnd1
Jaxson Dart
In Round 1, Pick 26 they get a long-term answer under center, reach and all. A real need, handled.
Pick90
Rnd3
Jaylin Noel
They went early on Jaylin Noel in slot 90, and the value did not follow. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick100
Rnd3
Terrance Ferguson
Terrance Ferguson at pick 100 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick126
Rnd4
Jeffrey Bassa
Jeffrey Bassa at the Round 4 slot is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick192
Rnd6
Raheim Sanders
A top-tier running back at a bargain, Raheim Sanders in the 192nd pick, plain and simple. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick203
Rnd6
Jaylen Reed
A safety of that caliber at pick No. 203 is the definition of value, full stop. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick204
Rnd6
CJ West
They took CJ West at par in No. 204, which is nothing to complain about. A need, and now a little less of one.
