The Raiders did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Ali Jennings fell into the 234th overall pick. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

The Raiders indulged a want in Melton while a need in cornerback, quarterback and other spots stayed open. They punted on cornerback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made. They went 3 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
