Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B
ValueB- NeedB TradesB FutureB+
The Raiders did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B.

The Raiders clearly saw something nobody else did in Lee Hunter, taking him 25 picks ahead of his grade. The board is not convinced.

The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Miller steal is the beam this whole class leans on. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick4 Rnd1 Francis Mauigoa
In the Round 1 slot they get an anchor for the offensive line. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick18 Rnd1 Makai Lemon
In the 18th pick they get a true top target at fair value. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick33 Rnd2 Christen Miller
Christen Miller is a better player than No. 33 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick66 Rnd3 Domonique Orange
The board had cheaper options than Domonique Orange at pick 66, and it noticed. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick101 Rnd4 Harold Perkins Jr.
Harold Perkins Jr. in slot 101 is fair value, right on his grade. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick115 Rnd4 Chase Bisontis
A reach on Chase Bisontis in the 115th overall pick; the board had better options right there. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick136 Rnd4 Blake Miller
A straight-up fair deal on Blake Miller at pick 136, value and slot in agreement. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick175 Rnd5 Xavier Nwankpa
Xavier Nwankpa at pick No. 175 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick182 Rnd6 Lee Hunter
This one needs a full-page explanation: Lee Hunter in slot 182, miles early. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick184 Rnd6 Gunner Stockton
A quiet steal in the 184th pick: Gunner Stockton for less than the market said. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick218 Rnd7 Luke Altmyer
They went early on Luke Altmyer in the Round 7 slot, and the value did not follow. It fills a real need, too.
