The Browns robbed the room for Iamaleava. Final grade: B-.

You build a draft on nights like this. Nico Iamaleava had no business being available in the Round 6 slot, and the Browns did the only sane thing and turned in the card. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. They will need Bisontis to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They went 5 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

The offense got the lion's share of the attention.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.

In the 4th overall pick they get an anchor for the offensive line. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick27 Rnd1 Carnell Tate
Nothing to complain about; Carnell Tate went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick40 Rnd2 Jayden Maiava
A straight-up fair deal on Jayden Maiava at slot 40, value and slot in agreement. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick71 Rnd3 Jonah Coleman
A running back of that caliber at the Round 3 slot is the definition of value, full stop. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick106 Rnd4 Chase Bisontis
Chase Bisontis at Round 4, Pick 6 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick141 Rnd5 Jyaire Hill
They paid sticker price for Jyaire Hill in No. 141, and that is fine. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.

Nice patience on Parker Brailsford, who had no business lasting to pick 145. The roster fit checks out.
