Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall
B-
ValueB-
NeedB

FutureB-
Mendoza is the plan now, and the Raiders grade out a B-. The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Raiders spent their marquee pick on Fernando Mendoza, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.
They banked enough surplus on York to cover a lot of smaller sins. They are betting Zuhn III proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.
Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick1
Rnd1
Fernando Mendoza
In the 1st pick they get their guy under center for the next decade. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick36
Rnd2
Emmanuel Pregnon
Emmanuel Pregnon at Round 2, Pick 4 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick67
Rnd3
Gennings Dunker
Gennings Dunker in the 67th overall pick is a bargain the rest of the room will envy. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick102
Rnd4
Taurean York
A linebacker of that caliber at No. 102 is the definition of value, full stop. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick117
Rnd4
Will Lee III
Will Lee III in pick No. 117 lands just on the right side of the ledger. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick134
Rnd4
Logan Jones
A clean, defensible pick in pick 134 with a little surplus value in Logan Jones. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick174
Rnd5
Brenen Thompson
Good price on Brenen Thompson in slot 174, a hair ahead of his grade with no real quibbles. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick180
Rnd6
Dalton Johnson
This one needs a full-page explanation: Dalton Johnson in the Round 6 slot, miles early. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
Pick183
Rnd6
Lander Barton
They paid sticker price for Lander Barton in slot 183, and that is fine. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick219
Rnd7
Trey Zuhn III
A real head-scratcher, Trey Zuhn III in the Round 7 slot is miles ahead of his ranking. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
