A passer of the future in Mendoza, and a B-, for the Raiders.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Raiders spent their marquee pick on Fernando Mendoza, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

The Trotter pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. They are betting Leigh proves the room right and everyone else wrong. The Haulcy pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with edge rusher, cornerback and other spots still on the board.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Josiah Trotter at No. 102 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
