The Raiders spent real capital to be 138 picks early on Sam Huard, and the board is going to hold them to it. A near-flawless weekend of work, and a A- to cap it.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.

They will answer for taking linebacker early while edge rusher, running back and other spots went begging. It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.
