The Raiders left with their quarterback, and a D- to match.

There is conviction, and then there is this. The Raiders took Jacob Rodriguez a full 37 picks ahead of where the board had him, an overdraft steep enough that it colors the whole weekend. Hard to defend, and the D- reflects that.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. Fernando Mendoza gives the offense a face and a plan, and the grade leans heavily on whether he hits.

For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. The Singleton Jr. steal is the beam this whole class leans on.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, edge rusher very much included.

In pick No. 1 they get their guy under center for the next decade at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.

Quietly one of the better values of the day, Avieon Terrell at the Round 2 slot. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.

Isaiah World at slot 44 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.

Taking Jake Slaughter in Round 3, Pick 1 is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.

Eric Singleton Jr. at pick 101 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
