A franchise passer in McCarthy headlines a B weekend for the Raiders.

They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. J.J. McCarthy is the Raiders' quarterback, full stop. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

The phones were where this weekend was really won. If McCarthy pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. However the rest shakes out, McClellan at that price is a win they earned.

Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
