A franchise passer in Sanders headlines a B- weekend for the Raiders.

They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Shedeur Sanders is the Raiders' quarterback, full stop.

Lampkin has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Henderson pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

Cornerback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.

Pick Analysis
Pick6 Rnd1 Shedeur Sanders
In the 6th overall pick they get a franchise quarterback. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick37 Rnd2 Malaki Starks
Nice patience on Malaki Starks, who had no business lasting to Round 2, Pick 5. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick68 Rnd3 TreVeyon Henderson
Value with a capital V on TreVeyon Henderson in the Round 3 slot, a genuine coup. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick108 Rnd4 Jared Wilson
Jared Wilson at pick 108 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick143 Rnd5 Willie Lampkin
They reached a country mile for Willie Lampkin at No. 143, and the board is aghast. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick180 Rnd6 Jaydon Blue
A tidy little value on Jaydon Blue in pick No. 180, a step better than break-even. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick213 Rnd6 Alijah Huzzie
No drama and no debate, Alijah Huzzie went about where he belonged in slot 213. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick215 Rnd6 LaJohntay Wester
A real head-scratcher, LaJohntay Wester in the 215th pick is miles ahead of his ranking. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick222 Rnd7 Jamon Dumas-Johnson
A premium they did not need to pay, Jamon Dumas-Johnson a notch or two before his time. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
