They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Fernando Mendoza is the Raiders' quarterback, full stop. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.

They will need Gill-Howard to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but edge rusher.
