Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall
D-
ValueB-
NeedB+
TradesF
FutureC-
The Raiders answered their biggest question with Daniels. Grade: D-. The trade table was where it all came apart. The Raiders shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.
The Liufau reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. So much rides on Jayden Daniels that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him.
The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.
Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, edge rusher very much included.
Pick Analysis
Pick4
Rnd1
Joe Alt
In pick 4 they get a blindside protector. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick6
Rnd1
Jayden Daniels
In slot 6 they get their guy under center for the next decade at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick14
Rnd1
Kool-Aid McKinstry
In Round 1, Pick 14 they get a sticky cover corner at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick61
Rnd2
Marist Liufau
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Marist Liufau. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
