The Raiders let Slaughter fall and pounced. Final grade: C.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Raiders shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. Call it a C and check back in two years.

That is an offensive lineman worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. The cost of the Payton reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

So much rides on Arvell Reese that the real verdict is a season or two away.
