The Raiders drew a line under the quarterback search with Mendoza: B-. There is reaching, and then there is Princewill Umanmielen at the Round 6 slot. The Raiders jumped the board by 83 and dared it to prove them wrong. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.
The whole projection now runs through Fernando Mendoza; hit there and everything else looks smarter. Getting Green where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.
The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Kilgore pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at cornerback and tight end.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
