Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B-
ValueB- NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Raiders answered their biggest question with Moore. Grade: B-.

The search is over. The Raiders handed the keys to Dante Moore, and the whole operation now runs on his development. It does the job without flash, and the B- reflects it.

For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. Every board in the league had Bisontis lower, and that gap is the story.

Thieneman falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. On the needs board they went 6 of 8, with edge rusher the one that mattered most.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.

Pick Analysis
Pick4 Rnd1 Dante Moore
In the 4th overall pick they get the arm they will build around. A real need, handled.
Pick35 Rnd2 Joshua Josephs
Joshua Josephs in No. 35 is fair value, right on his grade. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick66 Rnd3 Dillon Thieneman
Dillon Thieneman slid further than he should have, and Round 3, Pick 2 is lovely value for the safety. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick104 Rnd4 Omar Cooper Jr.
Omar Cooper Jr. at the Round 4 slot is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick111 Rnd4 Chase Bisontis
A reach on Chase Bisontis in the 111th pick; the board had better options right there. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick134 Rnd4 Blake Miller
A straight-up fair deal on Blake Miller at slot 134, value and slot in agreement. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick173 Rnd5 Jacob Rodriguez
The board had Jacob Rodriguez higher than pick 173, and the linebacker fell to them anyway. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick181 Rnd6 Bryce Boettcher
Bryce Boettcher at pick No. 181 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
Pick185 Rnd6 Gracen Halton
Gracen Halton at Round 6, Pick 6 jumps the queue by a touch more than is comfortable. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick219 Rnd7 DJ Harvey
No edge and no loss on DJ Harvey in the 219th pick; it is a wash and a sensible one. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
