Start where it matters. The Raiders took J.J. McCarthy to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Shipley.

They will need Liufau to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The trade work was a quiet net positive.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
