The Raiders got the worse of every deal, and it shows in the D. The Raiders spent real capital to be 66 picks early on Dillon Gabriel, and the board is going to hold them to it.
They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.
The Raiders clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before. Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and edge rusher is still a hole.
Pick Analysis
Pick8
Rnd1
Tetairoa McMillan
In slot 8 they get a matchup problem out wide. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick58
Rnd2
Dillon Gabriel
Value said wait; Dillon Gabriel in the 58th overall pick says they were not listening. It fills a real need, too.
Pick61
Rnd2
Cam Skattebo
A real head-scratcher, Cam Skattebo in Round 2, Pick 29 is miles ahead of his ranking. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
