If confidence were a draft strategy, the Bengals would have aced it. Patrick Payton at the 187th pick is 60 spots clear of where he belonged.

The tight end hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Cameron falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.

Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. Nearly every premium pick went to that side of the ball.

A workmanlike haul that should hold up just fine.
