You could see the war room lean forward. Jaylin Simpson at Round 6, Pick 35 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did. A dependable weekend that grades out a B.

Spending an early pick on cornerback with running back, interior defensive lineman and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. The Johnson pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. Offensive lineman is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

Good work on the whole, with running back the one box left unchecked.
