The Bears worked the phones like thieves and earned a B. The Bears did not so much draft Steve Linton as overpay for him, 139 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.
Getting Schwesinger where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own.
A whole weekend of picks and cornerback is somehow still a want. The Bears paired the rookies with proven help, Joe Burrow leading the way.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
