Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B-
ValueB NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Quarterback settled, Ward in the fold, and a B- for the Raiders.

If confidence were a draft strategy, the Raiders would have aced it. Anthony Belton at the 178th pick is 82 spots clear of where he belonged. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

The Campbell pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. Everything downstream of Cam Ward depends on Cam Ward, and the building knows it. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.

Pick Analysis
Pick6 Rnd1 Cam Ward
A straight-up fair deal on Cam Ward at the Round 1 slot, value and slot in agreement. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick37 Rnd2 Kenneth Grant
Nice patience on Kenneth Grant, who had no business lasting to slot 37. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick68 Rnd3 Omarion Hampton
Omarion Hampton at pick 68 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick73 Rnd3 Denzel Burke
Denzel Burke is a better player than Round 3, Pick 9 suggests; smart patience, rewarded. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick106 Rnd4 Jihaad Campbell
You do not let a linebacker like Jihaad Campbell reach the 106th overall pick and blink. They did not. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick142 Rnd5 Danny Stutsman
Danny Stutsman in No. 142 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
Pick178 Rnd6 Anthony Belton
They left a pile of value on the table to take Anthony Belton this early at slot 178. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick212 Rnd6 Elijah Arroyo
Steal is underselling it; Elijah Arroyo at pick No. 212 is a heist with the alarm still ringing. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick216 Rnd6 Shilo Sanders
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Shilo Sanders well ahead of where he belonged. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick222 Rnd7 Kaden Prather
They reached a country mile for Kaden Prather at the Round 7 slot, and the board is aghast. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
