The needs board said one thing and the Bills did another, using the Round 4 slot on Josh Newton while quarterback and tight end waited. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

That Wilson pick is the receipt they will wave around later. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The cost of the Jean-Baptiste reach is exactly the players who went right after him. They went 7 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
